Hi, I’m Laura! An explorer, storyteller and travel consultant with a passion for experiencing the world beyond the surface.

For me, travel has never just been about landmarks or bucket lists. It’s about understanding the soul of a place through its people, landscapes, wildlife, history and everyday moments. I’m drawn to destinations that feel layered and immersive, the kind of places that leave you with more questions than answers.

My love for adventure started early, spending summers in Ireland surrounded by nature, horses and the ocean. I’ve been riding horses for most of my life, and years later I found myself working as a stand up paddle board instructor in the mangrove forests of Zanzibar, one of many experiences that deepened my connection to travel and exploration.

But it was my first journey to Africa in 2018 that truly changed everything. A safari through Kenya and a trip to Victoria Falls sparked a curiosity that completely transformed the way I saw the world. I returned home fascinated not only by the landscapes and wildlife, but by the people, cultures and stories I had encountered along the way.

Since then, I’ve continued exploring destinations across Africa and beyond, returning to places like Tanzania and Zanzibar year after year while also seeking out more remote and lesser-known corners of the world. From learning from Maasai and Hadzabe communities in East Africa to road tripping through the mountains of Pakistan and exploring the urban chaos of cities like Lahore, I’m constantly searching for experiences that feel honest, human and immersive.

Alongside my travels, I eventually left a career in pharmacy to pursue a path more aligned with my passions, becoming a travel consultant specializing in African destinations while also documenting my journeys through YouTube and social media.

What matters most to me is going deeper than surface-level travel. I love exploring both the iconic places people dream of visiting and the hidden corners most travelers overlook. Through my vlogs and travel guides on YouTube, my goal is to tell more meaningful stories about the world and help others experience these destinations in a deeper, more thoughtful way.
