KENYA

KENYA

Kenya was the first country I ever visited in Africa, and in many ways, the place where this journey began for me. I first traveled there in 2018, and years later returned to spend over a month exploring as much of the country as I could. It was Kenya that first sparked my curiosity for the African continent and completely changed the way I saw the world.

While Kenya is home to some of the world’s most iconic safari destinations, from the Maasai Mara and Amboseli to Ol Pejeta, what makes the country so special is the incredible diversity of experiences it offers. One moment you can be exploring the urban chaos of Nairobi, and the next wandering through Swahili towns like Lamu and Mombasa, relaxing on the turquoise beaches of Watamu and Diani, or venturing into the remote deserts of Northern Kenya and Lake Turkana.

From Maasai culture and hidden tea and coffee farms to wildlife, history and coastline, Kenya is a country that constantly reveals something new the deeper you explore it.

Thinking about visiting?

One of the things I’ve loved most about sharing my travels online is seeing how many people feel inspired to experience these places for themselves.

Over the years, I’ve spent time exploring Kenya and have come to know the kind of experiences, regions and local operators that can make a real difference.
